Why is "Iowa love" offering the “MN Love” t-shirt??

I’m blessed to witness our Iowa love t-shirts enabling tens of thousands of folks to share their love for their home state with their friends, family, and neighbors over these last 15 months.

And, I’m equally humbled that we’ve been able to help fundraise and donate more than $50,000 to Iowa nonprofits through these sales.

As previously shared, Minnesota has been my adoptive home state for the past four years, though I’m somewhere in Iowa for at least a week each month.

Folks here have often asked me if we’ll be introducing designs for other states.

After awhile, I came to learn these gentle Minnesota Nice prods translate to “design a Minnesota one for me!!!”

While my answer has always been “No, I don’t think so,” my mindset began to change after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

This tragic event of course set off a chain of events across the Twin Cities, the state, and the country that continues today.

While there are many positive changes now in effect, it seems to me that friends, families, and communities are being further wedged apart by the ignited societal and political debates.

Sadly, folks seem to forget that we have FAR MORE common interests than differences.

And, core to that commonality - Love.

More than ever, perhaps we in Minnesota and across the country ought to prioritize ‘wearing our Love on our sleeve.’

We design the “MN Love” Symbol to meaningfully show that “Love” is a part of “MN”, similar to how the “Iowa love” Symbol simultaneously scripts “Iowa” and “love”.

With much “Iowa love” and “MN love”,
