Announcing 100% of net profits to support Iowa flood victims until April 30

16 hours ago, I posted on the "I grew up in Iowa!" Facebook Group asking for their members' thoughts on our "Iowa love" shirts.

The result:

The post really blew up with 1,000+ reactions and nearly 200 comments.

So, it's clear that folks are highly interested to support flood relief and recovery efforts.

Already 56 Iowa counties have been declared a major disaster area by the federal government. Though this means federal assistance, it doesn't mean the lives of those affected will get back to normal anytime soon. That's why the American Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army, and local community organizations yet need financial support.

It looks to me that, initially, the best option for a fundraiser would be to support the dozens of United Way chapters serving the communities of the affected areas.

"Iowa love" is a social enterprise with the mission of producing great apparel that folks can proudly wear - not just because they have an affinity for Iowa, but also because they know that 50% of profits are donated to nonprofits within their own communities.

And until April 30, 100% of net profits will support the efforts around flood relief and recovery.

Let's make a difference!

William
