"Why is mental health a public health concern? One in four adults and one in five children will experience a mental health issue. Based on those statistics, it's likely that you or someone close to you is struggling with a mental illness.
Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center, an affiliate of UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital, provides services to more than 10,000 individuals experiencing mental health issues each year. Recent news headlines have highlighted the challenges of mental health access and treatment.
There is currently a campaign to raise an additional $75,000, which will be used to adequately serve clients of Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center. It will take a full community effort to help secure the additional funds, and we feel the Cedar Valley can help!"
